Senior Staff Accountant

Parsons Group owns and manages Independent, Assisted Living, and Memory Care Communities for seniors in California and Texas. We provide a proactive approach to managing each one of our communities. We know that the Parsons Family involvement in each community and our staffs' dedication to the seniors we serve are what set us apart! Every month Parsons principals are onsite visiting with residents, working with our teams, and building relationships with staff, residents and families so that we understand how we can serve our communities best.

The Senior Staff Accountant's job responsibilities include performing:

  • Perform month-end close and financial reporting for management company
  • Perform review of month-end close and prepare financial reporting for operating companies
  • Prepare quarterly sales and use tax returns and hotel occupancy tax returns
  • Assist Accounting lead with treasury and cash management tasks
  • Assist Accounting lead with the annual budget cycle
  • Assist Accounting lead in the development and oversight of AR and AP team members 
  • Other duties as assigned and as required by business needs

Qualifications and Requirements for Senior Staff Accountants:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience with two years in a Staff Accountant level position
  • Candidate must successfully pass nationwide criminal background check, drug screen and motor vehicle report
